Casino, Skytrain Extension, and more... The Royal City Star Destination Riverboat Casino arrived at the New Westminster waterfront. Construction began on the Fraser River Discovery Centre as part of the Casino building. Construction of the SkyTrain extension to Coquitlam, etc. began. Glenbrook and Queensborough Middle Schools planning and construction were underway. New playing fields opened at "Terry Hughes" park and at the Justice Institute/Canada Games Pool.
