New Westminster Architecture

Serving over 8,000 students, the New Westminster campus of Douglas College offers an extensive selection of educational programs and services. Designed by Carlberg, Jackson & Associates (CJP) and built by Poole Construction, the new campus was officially opened in March of 1983, although students had already been attending classes for some time. The design features a lofty, glassed in central concourse. Facilities include a full gymnasium and exercise rooms, a 350-seat Performing Arts Theatre, recording studio, the Amelia Douglas Gallery, a Library, computer labs, and over 100 classrooms.
