New Westminster Architecture

The Fraser River Discovery Centre Society was incorporated in 1989 with a mandate to record the story of the Fraser River and its role in the settlement, livability and prosperity of B.C. The opening of the Discovery Centre in January, 2001 was the culmination of years of planning. Kasian Kennedy Architects were chosen to design a building that would inform, educate and entertain people about the Fraser River. Degelder Construction was the building contractor. Included in the building are a small theatre, meeting room, offices, gift shop, and exhibition space.
