The Queensborough Community Centre was designed by the local architecture
firm of Carlberg Jackson (CJP). This building which has a 500 person capacity,
was completed in 1978. It was the first community centre for the area
and therefore did not replace an existing building. The interior of the
Queensborough Community Centre is ideal for accommodating wedding receptions,
banquets, meetings and sports activities. The banquet hall has a capacity
of 350 people, while the banquet room can accommodate up to 135 guests.
In addition, the community centre facilities include a large gymnasium
and fully-equipped weight room.
