Saint Peter’s Catholic Church (1938)
Eclectic Style (Mission Revival-Gothic-Art Deco)Built in 1938, Saint Peter's Church, designed by the Vancouver architectural firm of Twizell and Twizell, is an excellent example of an Art Deco Church. Its exterior features a bell tower with decorative grates, incised vertical lines and geometric patterning and a neon cross atop its steeple. A set of three pointed, stained glass windows adorn the front entrance and the nave contains four bays, each with a pointed window, separated by pilasters. Interior features include alcoves for saints and original pews.
