Designated Date: 2004 January 19Known during its early years as the Auditorium Building, the building includes and auditorium/gym, a swimming pool and a multipurpose room. The building was an important component of the institution’s recreational and therapeutic programming. Constructed in the International Style, marked by its lack of ornamentation, the clear massing expression of the auditorium block, the swimming pool blocks, support areas and its functional approach to fenestration and indoor-outdoor connections.
