ABOUT US

Where We Are
The Samson V Maritime Museum is moored at the Westminster Quay, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada (30 minutes from Vancouver, by car or SkyTrain).

To find us, click here for our location on the City of New Westminster's map of special places of interest. (Use your browser's Back button to return to this page.)

What We Are
Samson V is a wooden, steam-powered, sternwheel snagpuller now open as a Maritime Museum. She is sole survivor of the once numerous Fraser River paddlewheelers.

What We Offer
Onboard, you're welcome to tour the galley, mess, cabins and engine area, all restored (or nearly restored) to their original condition. From the Museum's tour guides, the photograph display panels, and the interpretive brochures, you'll get a sense of what life was like on a working riverboat, as well as learn about the Fraser River, early riverboat Captains, and other river trivia.

Sponsorship Opportunities
If you'd like to help us with our educational programs, or in our preservation of this heritage vessel, please call 604.522.6894.
