Take an online tour

The New Westminster Heritage Preservation society annually hosts a tour of heritage homes in its fair city. The hugely popular event, held in May, sells out weeks in advance.

If you missed the 2002 tour and can't wait for this year's edition, here's your chance to take a virtual tour of the buildings featured in 2001.

Attending a homes tour? Advice for novices

The homes tour is self guided. You may visit each location once in any order between 10 am and 5 pm. Because of the distance between groupings of homes, the use of a car or bicycle is advisable.

You will be required to present a ticket at the door of each destination to gain entry, so keep it handy at all times. Remember, the tour has been planned for a limited number of people and, as a result, the ticket can only be used once, without exceptions.

Also, some of our homeowners may require visitors to remove their shoes at the door to protect fragile carpets and floors, especially in the event of rain. So, it's preferred you wear slip-on shoes with comfortable socks.
