Information: Brick built duplex at 701 Agens St. Torn down in 1980. Controversy - Douglas College students tried to save this as a heritage site. It was torn down on Sunday without their knowledge.

Information: Old Victorian duplex at 701 Agnes St. It was demolished to make room for the new campus of Douglas College. The building was thought to have been built in 1887 and was one of the few structures to survive the fire in 1898. The building was once used as a government office. The redevelopment of this area was overseen by the First Capital City Development Company. The demolition was protested by the student society of Douglas College. The building was torn down in 1980. This is a back and partial side view of the building being demolished.
