It was put into service after the Duke of Connaught's visit at car #1304 and ran on the Fraser Valley line until October 1945 when it caught fire along Vedder Mountain rail line. Information: Twelve train passengers and Motorman Archie Bomstead were involved in a train accident. The train skidded on the rails on Sixth Street, jumped the curve on Carnarvon Street and crashed into a light and trolley poll at 9:30 p.m.. Train was proceeding up the hill and stopped near Cunningham and began to skid backwards due to moisture and leaves on the rails. Passengers had to be rescued by breaking side windows, since the train was resting half on its side and the pole had wrecked the front door. Apart from bruises and shock, no one was seriously injured.
